Please go there for the rest of the semester. (The 1:00 lecture remains where it started: Soils 270.) I'm sorry for the trouble surrounding these room changes. All the best, John P.S. Here is some background. Last week, to avoid starting our class a few minutes late, I moved the 2:30 lecture from Van Vleck B130 to Soils 270. Our conversation at the start of class yesterday revealed that most of you would rather be back in Van Vleck, even at the cost of my starting a few minutes late. I checked with my department and found that the 1:00 class couldn't move anywhere, but the 2:30 class could move back to Van Vleck B130 or to two other places more troublesome that Van Vleck. So we're back in Van Vleck. I will strive to move quickly between classes. ---------- From: JOHN R GILLETT Sent: Thursday, January 31, 2019 4:49 PM To: stat371-2-s19@lists.wisc.edu; stat371-3-s19@lists.wisc.edu Subject: Re: STAT 371 Hi STAT 371 Students (and TAs), I put a video of today's lecture in Canvas under "Online lectures and discussions" with the title "Th31jan19_lecture". Both my lectures, 1:00 and 2:30, will meet in Soils 270 (map: https://map.wisc.edu/s/dwp4byyt) for the rest of the semester. 2. I made three videos for this week's canceled Discussion 2. They are in Canvas under "Online lectures and discussions:" - STAT371discussion2_TAdemo (3:38, a TA demonstration) - STAT371discussion2_studentWorkPart1 (6:12, my solution, part 1) - STAT371discussion2_studentWorkPart1 (8:19, my solution, part 2) 3. I extended the HW2 deadline from this Friday to next Friday. (I recommend doing HW2 by this Friday, but I want to give students who have troubles more opportunity to get help. Now both HW2 and HW3 are due February 8 at 4:00.) 4. As campus reopens Thursday at noon, I will teach as usual Thursday afternoon. I will post a video of this lecture for students who cannot attend.
