DEBDEEP PATI
Dr. Debdeep Pati received his Ph.D. in Statistics from Duke University in May 2012, prior to being an Assistant Professor at Florida State from 2012-2017. He joined the Department of Statistics at Texas A&M as an Associate Professor in Fall 2017. He is currently a Full Professor in the department starting Fall 2022. His research focuses on Bayesian theory and methods for complex objects including high-dimensional vectors, matrices, shapes of non-Euclidean objects and large graphs with applications on tumor tracking for targeted radiotherapy for lung cancer patients. In addition, he was the recipient of the Young Researcher Award from the International Indian Statistical Association in 2017 and obtained an honorable mention for Leonard J. Savage award for best Bayesian dissertation in the theory and methods section in 2013.
